Are You Eligible For YouthBuild?
YouthBuild North Central WV seeks motivated young people who are committed to taking their lives in a positive direction.
To be successful in YouthBuild, you must be punctual, present and prepared. You must be willing to challenge yourself to learn, to grow, and to perform to the best of your ability.
To be considered for enrollment you must:
- Be 16-24 years old.
- Be out of school and in need of a high school diploma or TASC—Test Assessing Secondary Completion (the new national high school equivalency exam). High school graduates may be eligible under limited circumstances.
- Meet low-income guidelines. Family Size Income Allowed: 1 Person – $17,400, 2 People – $19,850, 3 People – $22,350, 4 People – $24, 800, 5 People – $26, 800, 6 People – $28,800, 7 People – $30,800, 8 People – $32,750
- Commit to an intensive program that requires 35 hours per week of participation for up to 10 months.
- Have a strong desire to work, to learn, and to grow.
